How Long Delivery Takes After You Order
Our standard policy is one to two weeks from your order date. It is often shorter, depending on which regional routes we are running that week. Once your order is placed we contact you to set the day, and we keep you updated as your delivery day gets close. What Happens When We Pull Into Your Driveway
We do not leave meat sitting on a porch. We knock, we carry the boxes in, and we help you get them where they are going — usually straight into the freezer. If you want it stacked a particular way, say so; we have loaded a lot of freezers. Bring us a spot cleared out and the whole thing takes a few minutes.
If you cannot be home on your delivery day, tell us when we set the window and we will work out something that keeps the meat cold. We will not guess.

Market Pickup at the Peoria Riverfront, May Through September
From May through September you can pick up your order at our stand at the Peoria Riverfront Farmers Market, which brings thousands of visitors downtown every weekend. Place the order online or over the phone, and we will confirm which market date to come get it. There is no fee, and it is the easiest way to meet us without making an appointment.

How to Get Your Meat Home Cold and Into the Freezer
Everything leaves us frozen and vacuum-sealed. Keeping it that way is simple if you plan five minutes ahead.
Bring a cooler for anything bigger than a box. A cooler and a couple of frozen jugs will hold a pickup order for the drive home in any weather. On a hot July afternoon, that is the difference between frozen and starting to sweat.
Clear the freezer space before you get it. Figure about one cubic foot per 35 to 40 pounds of packaged meat. A quarter beef fits in roughly four to five cubic feet; a half needs closer to eight to ten.
Load it cold and load it tight. Packed close together, frozen meat holds its own temperature far better than a few loose packs spread across a shelf.
Vacuum-sealed and flash-frozen holds 12 to 18 months at 0°F. You are not racing a clock. Buy the year's worth.

Yes. Bulk beef is what our delivery service was built for — it is heavy, it is frozen, and it is more than most people want to haul. We deliver it and carry it in. Bulk orders take longer than bundles because the beef has to be processed at the locker first.
